FNAC
FNAC stands for fine needle aspiration cytology [1]. It is a diagnostic procedure where a needle is inserted into your body and a small amount of tissue is sucked out for examination under a microscope. It is commonly used to investigate for breast cancer. It is an alternative to an FNA [2], because it is a simpler procedure than doing a biopsy. Of note, Wikipedia felt that the only well-used use of the term FNAC was in relation to a French entertainment group [3].
