Four-stroke engine

A four-stroke engine is a type of gasoline engine commonly used in cars and boats. The motor has separate steps for bringing in fuel, igniting it, and clearing the exhaust. This is more efficient and cleaner burning than two-stroke engines. Four-stroke engines keep the motor oil separate from the gasoline, and they do not burn it except for negligible losses through the seals.
