French Revolution

The French Revolution was an armed revolt in France that started in 1789 and resulted in the beheadings of King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. It started with high ideals, abolishing feudalism and absolute monarchy in favor of more representative goverment. However it gradually degraded into the Terror, with the political dissidents being guillotined indiscriminately.
