Georg Jacobi

Georg Jacobi (13 February 1840 - 13 September 1906) was a German musician.

He settled in Paris and specialised in conducting operettas, especially those by his friend Jacques Offenbach. He moved to London in 1871 and conducted the British premiere of Die Fledermaus in 1876. He also conducted the premiere of Victoria and Merrie England (by Sir Arthur Sullivan) in 1897.
