Giuoco Piano

The Giuoco Piano (or Gioco Piano), "slow game" or "quiet game", is a chess opening. In traditional notation, it is:

1. P-K4, P-K4
2. N-KB3, N-QB3
3. B-B4, B-B4

It is popular among beginners and in lower-level tournaments, but is nowadays hardly ever played at International Master level.
