Gold Rush

From Encyc

Commentators on finance and economics use the term gold rush to refer to the sudden enthusiasm for wealth-seekers to rush to remote areas when there are reports of Gold deposits were found there.[1]

Some of the new settlers provide services to prospectors and miners.

The Klondike Gold Rush, of 1899-1909, is described as the "last great gold rush" by some commentators.[1] Earlier gold rushes include the California Gold Rush of 1849, and the Georgia Gold Rush of 1829.
