Appearance
The Google algorithm is a mathematical formula that determines which websites will appear highest in search results.
March 2024 changes[edit | edit source]
There was a major update in March 2024 that lead to mass deindexing of many pages.
Expired domains[edit | edit source]

Scaled content[edit | edit source]
Quantity is a quality all its own. But not anymore. There is a penalty for having too much unfocused content.
Site reputation[edit | edit source]
Sites with overall good reputations that host a few spammy pages are now being penalized more harshly. An example would be an educational site that posts an ad for an online casino.
