Goths

Goths were a Germanic-speaking barbarian tribe that invaded the Roman Empire. They were from eastern Europe, but may have originated from the area around the Baltic Sea before that.

The Ostrogoths conquered Italy and set up a short-lived kingdom there.

The Visigoths conquered Spain and southwestern France, and their kingdom survived for hundreds of years.
