Gulf of Mexico

The Gulf of Mexico, also known as the Gulf of America, is a part of the Atlantic Ocean between the United States, Mexico, and Cuba. There are some oil and natural gas reserves there.

In 2025 President Trump announced a renaming to the Gulf of America, which might not catch on due to hundreds of years of precedent.
