Gursewak Singh Bal is a Canadian blogger.^[1] His blog, "The Dirty News" is reported to focus on crime. In November 2025 Bal was arrested on the accusation he played a part in the assassination of informant Jonathan Acebedo-Garcia. Specifically he was alleged of accepting #10,000 CAD in return for publishing information about Acebedo-Garcia intended to locate him, so Acebedo-Garcia could be killed.^[2] According to the BBC News, he posted pictures of Acebedo-Garcia and his wife, calling him a "snitch". He said "Good chance he'll never be found again."

The BBC reported that, after Acebedo-Garcia's killing, Bal posted gruesome photos of his corpses.^[2]

Bal was arrested on November 19, 2025, as part of Operation Giant Slalom.^[3] His website was seized. US law enforcement offficials have requested extradition. The Tribune reports that, if convicted in a US court, Bal faces a sentence of life imprisonment.
