Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel
The Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel is part of a project to connect Newport News, Virginia and Norfolk, Virginia.[1]
The tunnel boring machine, known as "Mary", is 14.21 metres (46.6 ft) in diameter.[1] The tunnel boring machine completed a westbound tunnel in April 2024, and was then turned around to dig an eastbound tunnel.[2][3]
