HandWiki

From Encyc

HandWiki is a wiki encyclopedia that largely borrows from Wikipedia. It currently uses MediaWiki. HandWiki was founded by S.V. Chekanov and allows those who have published an academic paper to register directly on the wiki. Users without a published academic paper are redirected to a separate login form that requires a $20 payment to become a Handwiki editor.

It hosts an enormous amount of imported content. According to its About page, 80% of its content is imported from Wikipedia. It also imported from Deletionpedia and non-wiki resources. It claims to be the largest wiki on the topic of science, technology, and computing with at least 2,274,291 total articles.[1] Despite the HandWiki API returning an inaccurate active user count number, it does have daily active editors, some of which seem to be AI bots.
