Hazel trees

Hazel trees are relatively fast growing small trees best known for producing delicious edible fruit, known as hazelnuts.

Trees mature and are able to produce fruit within four years. Hazel trees can thrive in regions with cold winters. Hazel trees can also propagate by sending out suckers.

There are close to two dozen types of hazel trees, all of which produce edible fruit.
