Icicle
Appearance

The term icicle refers to long thin ice formations that form during winter when snow begins to melt, flows to the bottom, of a tree branch, or building eavestrough, and forms a drop. There are conditions where the drop starts to refreeze, before it becomes large enough to break surface tension, and fall to the ground. While icicles can be small, thin and fragile, they can grow so long, and heavy, that they can be dangerous to anyone unlucky to be standing under them, if they break off and fall.
