Juvenile detention center

A juvenile detention center is a prison for teenagers. In some cases, these are run by private companies.

In early 2009, a scheme was exposed where two judges in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, sentenced hundreds of youths to lengthy terms in facilities in return for over $2 million in kickbacks from the operators of the facilities.
