Karalipayattu

Karalipayattu is a martial art originating in the Kerala region of India.[1] It include techniques for both unarmed and armed techniques..

Commentators date its origins to before 1000 BC, and assert it is older than any other Indian martial art.[1]

One of the weapons students of Karalipayattu may learn to use is the urumi, which is a double edged flexible ribbon, that is whipped around the warrior, like a whip.
