Karen J. Greenberg (b. 1955 (age 70–71)) is an American Professor, and author.[1][2][3]
Education
[edit | edit source]Greenberg's undergraduate degree in history is from Cornell University.[1] Her PhD, also in history, is from Yale University.
Academic career
[edit | edit source]Greenberg is currently a professor at New York University, and Executive Director of its Center on Law and Security.[3] Previously she taught at Bard College.
Greenberg was the Center on Law and Security's first Director, when it was set up in 2003.[1]
Greenberg is the coauthor, with Joshua L. Dratel, of two books on the George W. Bush Presidency's policy on captives apprehended in the "global war on terror". In 2005 they published The Torture Papers: The Road to Abu Ghraib.[4] In 2008 they published The Enemy Combatant Papers: American Justice, the Courts, and the War on Terror.[5] In 2009 Greenberg published The Least Worst Place: Guantanamo's First 100 Days.[6][7][8]
