Kingdom of the Spiders is a 1977 American science fiction horror film directed by John "Bud" Cardos and produced by Igo Kantor and Jeffrey M. Sneller. The screenplay was written by Richard Robinson and Alan Caillou, based on an original story by Sneller and Stephen Lodge. A part of the eco-horror subgenre, the film focuses on a rural town in Camp Verde, Arizona, which finds itself in the path of a horde of tarantulas. The spiders have become unusually aggressive due to the effects of pesticides, which have diminished their natural food sources. The film was distributed by Dimension Pictures (not to be confused with Dimension Films) and features a cast that includes William Shatner, Tiffany Bolling, Woody Strode, Lieux Dressler, and Altovise Davis.
