Koror

From Encyc

Koror is the most populous state of Palau, with a population of 11,119 as of 2020.[1] It makes up about two thirds of the country's population.

Until 2006 Koror was the capital of Palau. On 7 October 2006 Ngerulmud was officially opened and it became the new capital.

Koror is on a separate island to mainland Palau (Babeldaob). The main island in the state is also named Koror, and is connected to Babeldaob by a bridge. Further to the south-west are more islands - named the Rock Islands - they are mostly uninhabited.
