Lake Winnipeg

Lake Winnipeg is a large, relatively shallow, silty lake in Manitoba. It and two other nearby lakes are remnants of the very large glacial lake Agassiz, which formed at the southern edge of the Laurentian Glaciation, as it melted, approximately 10,000 years ago.

It is the twelfth largest lake by area on Planet Earth.
