Malaysia

Malaysia is a country in southern Asia south of Thailand. There was a communist uprising there following World War II, mainly fomented by the Chinese minoritiy in the country. The British sent in an experienced leader and put down the uprising. He won over the Chinese population and reduced the support for the insurgents. He also retrained the security forces and reduced them in number.
