Marly Reed is a Canadian filmmaker.[1] Reed has directed several films, including Mimi & Me, which won the audience award at the 2014 Austin Film Festival, but she is best known as a television writer and producer.

She was born in Ladysmith, British Columbia, in 1985.[1] She graduated from Simon Fraser University.[2] She was later chosen to attend the Canadian Film Centre.

Reed is currently Vice President for Development at NESHEMA Entertainment.[3]

Reed was one of the show creator of a time-travel television series, The Way Home, which premiered in January 2024.[4][5] Reed was the original initiator of the series.[6] Her pitch to Hallmark Channel was her second pitch of the show.

In 2018 Reed was credited as an associate producer on the television movies Christmas Around the Corner and A Majestic Christmas.[1]

In 2019 Reed was credited as an associate producer on the television movies A Christmas Crush, Mistletoe & Menorahs, Christmas 9 to 5, Rock and Roll Christmas, Was I Really Kidnapped?, Swept Up by Christmas, My Mother's Killer Boyfriend, Bottled with Love and on four episodes of the Heaven mini series.[1]

In 2020 Reed was credited as an associate producer on the television movies The Christmas Setup, Christmas Unwrapped, Follow Me to Daisy Hills and Love at Look Lodge.[1] She was credited as an executive producer for Cheerleader Abduction, Christmas at Maple Creek and Midnight at the Magnolia.

In 2021 Reed was credited as an associate producer on the television movies A Chance for Christmas, Under the Christmas Tree.[1] She was credited as an executive producer for Secrets in the Wilderness, Christmas in My Heart, Deadly Mom Retreat, Lethal Love, A Date with Danger and Evil Stepmom.

In 2022 Reed was credited as an associate producer on the television movie A Date with Danger.[1]

In 2023-2024 she was credited as both a writer and an executive producer for 20 episodes of The Way Home.[1]
