Matt Easton is a British scholar, athlete, and antiques dealer, best known for describing ancient weapons.[1] His academic background was in history.

Although Easton has expertise in martial arts, from around the world, he is best known for the videos informed by HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) that he provides on the Scholagladitoria YouTube channel.[1][2][3]

According to the endless thread podcast, from WBUR Easton is one of the four most recognized experts on HEMA, on YouTube.[4]

Other sites, like IGN use Easton's expertise, to answer their own viewers questions about the realism of movies and games.[5][6]
