Meditation House
Meditation House is a New York-based organization offering meditation and mindfulness programs for corporations. It was founded by Dan Globus, and is currently based in Catskill, New York, US.[1]
History and founder biography
[edit | edit source]Dan Globus founded Meditation House in 2015. Having trained in Tibetan Buddhism for over 10 years,[2] Globus directly learned Mindfulness Meditation and Vipassana techniques from ordained Tibetan Buddhist monks from the Gelug lineage. Globus has been meditating for over 50 years, long before he started officially learning Tibetan Buddhism.[3] In addition, Globus earned his Bachelor's degree in marketing from New York University in 1986.[4] He has extensive corporate experience in web design[5] and digital marketing.[6] Globus has worked as a lead website manager and SEO specialist for AdsWizz, an audio advertising based in San Mateo, California.[7]

Classes
[edit | edit source]Meditation House’s classes have special themes every week and are led by Dan Globus.[3] As of 2021, Meditation House offers online Zoom meditation programs.[11]
The Compassion Center
[edit | edit source]The Compassion Center (abbreviated TCC) is a subsidiary of Meditation House focusing on individuals. TCC teaches meditation and mindfulness classes, which are also offered online as of 2021. TCC classes have attendees from diverse backgrounds and age groups, ranging from teenagers to seniors. It was originally founded in Staten Island, New York, and is currently based in Catskill, New York.[12]
The Compassion Center specializes in helping people with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and many other life challenges. It also caters to people who want to lead a healthier and more balanced life through meditation and compassion.[13]
