Non-nuclear hydrogen bomb
Appearance
A Non-nuclear hydrogen bomb is a weapon first tested by China in April, 2025. It apparently uses magnesium hydride, and burns longer than TNT. [1][2]
Doesn't seem to make sense because of conservation of energy, unless there is a nuclear fusion reaction involved, but it is called a "non-nuclear hydrogen bomb" by the few news outlets reporting on it. Could be a scam.
The bomb material weighs 2 kg.
Conventional hydrogen bombs carry radioactive heavy elements and use a fission reaction to start a fusion reaction which turns hydrogen isotopes into helium.
