Pool noodles

Noodleball is a sport invented by Homer and Abe Simpson on The Simpsons. It is played in an empty swimming pool. Players attempt to score roundsies by hitting a ball with a pool noodle around the pool behind their opponents.

It is popular with older players. Attempts are being made to market it to the forty to sixty demographic.

For a brief time the sport turned pro. It was sponsored by big avocado and played at the Avo-1 Noodleplex.

In the first professional game, Homer broke a hip and Abe had a heart attack.

Controversy

There is conflict with swimmers who want to fill the pools with water and swim in them. Think of the children!
