North Carolina is a state in the United States of America. The state is divided into 100 counties. Its capital is Raleigh, but its largest city is Charlotte. North Carolina is bordered by Virginia to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the east, Georgia and South Carolina to the south, and Tennessee to the west.
