Organic

Organic often refers to a type of food production. Organic food production uses nothing artificial in the production of food. There are no pesticides used to grow the food and no artificial or non-organic additives put in the food before it goes into humans' digestive systems. Poultry and livestock are not permitted to be treated with hormones or antibiotics.

In The United States of America, the USDA regulates what can and cannot be labeled as "organic".
