Pete Hegseth

Pete Hegseth is a former American journalist, who American President Donald Trump appointed to the post of US Secretary of Defense, in early 2025.

Hegseth's performance has been the subject of controversy.

In April 2026 Hegseth gave a speech, where he shocked listeners when he asserted he was repeating a prayer taken from a passage from the Christian Bible. In fact the source for the prayer was a speech given by a vengeful hitman in Quentin Tarantino's film Pulp Fiction.
