Psychosis

Psychosis is when someone has a major break with reality.

Psychosis may include schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder and others.

Psychotic individuals might be dangerous because they might hurt themselves or others. Sometimes populations are also susceptible to what some might label as "mass psychosis".

Some dispute the usefulness of a label such as this.
