Romance
Romance may have several meanings:
- A tendency or atmosphere where there is excessive idealisation of everyday life, or a strong sense of remoteness from it.
- In a love affair where there is strong mutual attraction, a persistent sense of wonder or mystery; hence, sentimental or idealised love.
- A novel where the central theme is romantic love, with unrealistic but highly imaginative passages.
