Sadness

Sadness is an emotion and state of mind that can be caused by many factors, such as loss, failure, disappointment and others. It is the opposite of happiness in the broadest sense, but one can feel happy about feeling sad, if, say, they worried they wouldn't be able to express the appropriate level at a funeral.
