Sega Genesis was a game system sold in the 1990s as a competitor to Nintendo. It was known for some creative new characters such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Bonk the Caveman. Sega also had a strong lineup of sports titles, with EA Sports NHL and NFL games being particularly excellent.
