It was programmed by Sid Meier. It was written by B. C. Milligan, Jeffery L. Briggs, and Bruce Campbell Shelley. It was composed by Jeffery L. Briggs. It is part of the Civilization series. It was released on DOS, Windows, Amiga, Macintosh, Atari ST, Sega Saturn, Super NES, PlayStation, and N-Gage. It was released on September 1991.[1][2] Its genre is turn-based strategy. Its mode is single-player.
