Smart TV

The term Smart TV refers to electronic devices that add to the television tuners, display and audio or older televsion sets, additional electronics capable of interpreting signals that came in over the internet.

The interface controlled the Smart TV's remote controls offer menus that let consumer's select internet sites, like NetFlix or Yahoo, as the source for signals they are interested in browsing.

Some Smart TVs require the consumer to use WiFi to connect their TV to the router they use to connect the devices in their home to the internet. Other Smart TVs are equipped with an RJ 45 connector, allowing them to plug the TV directly into their home's router.
