State of Origin
State of Origin is an annual series of Rugby League matches between the states of Queensland and New South Wales in Australia. They typically play 3 matches to decide the series. This is the single greatest sporting event of the Australian sporting calendar and has a similar reaction to the Super Bowl in the United States of America. While Queensland has less than half the population of New South Wales, Rugby League is so much more popular in Queensland than it is in New South Wales that it becomes a relatively even contest.
