[edit source]I started this article in 2004, one of my first Wikipedia articles. It has been considerably expanded, since then, expansion that I believe waters it down. This was THE FIRST book on metallurgy, published in Europe. The expansion merely says it was one of the first. Cowardly. It has no references as references were not a thing in 2004. I'll add some.
