The Bubbletank

From Encyc

The Bubbletank, also known as The BubbleTank or simply Bubbletank, is a film production company created by British singer/songwriter Imogen Heap and geographer Thomas Ermacora. The company was launched in the summer of 2010.

Concept[edit]

Every film from The Bubbletank is collaborative. Fans submit content of one kind or another to that particular film's web site, for every Bubbletank film has a website of its own for that purpose. For example, in August of 2010, The Bubbletank started working on Love the Earth, a first-of-its-kind nature film in which the scenery and footage is submitted by fans. Imogen, the main producer, looked at the images and videos and made an orchestral piece based on it. On November 2010, the film finally aired live from a link on that particular film's website. Similarly, on April 11, 2011, The Bubbletank made a film, Live 4 Sendai, as a fundraiser for Japan. The fans, even during the live air of the film on the film's website, could donate money to a series of charities, or submit sketches of houses that Architecture for Humanity would use for a building model. Since its launch in 2010, The Bubbletank has produced only four films to this date.

External links[edit]

  • The Bubbletank website, where links to all the Bubbletank films' websites can be found, where you can read about, and in some cases watch, these films for free. Also, if a film is currently being developed and you click the link for it, you can collaborate. That means, as a fan, check the site frequently.
