Tila Tequila

Tila Tequila is the stage name of the most popular user on MySpace in terms of number of people on her friends list, and has used this popularity to enhance her acting, modelling and singing careers.

Tila Tequila posts a new blog entry almost every day. These blogs often include short videos of herself. They are often very sexual in nature, often with Tila dressed in skimpy outfits and/or in her underwear. The written posts often include sexual suggestions.

A typical post by Tila Tequila will generate over 1,000 comments in under 24 hours. Within seconds of it being posted, someone has posted a response, the first ones usually being something like "first". Indeed, many people post "first" thinking they are the first but are actually 20th (or worse) due to the popularity of her posts.

Similarly, Tila Tequila often posts bulletins, which also generate similar levels of responses.

In addition to her blog on MySpace, Tila also has her own blog on her own site. The reason for her own blog is because sometimes her posts are too explicit for MySpace, and would be deleted if she posted them there.

Tila Tequila used this popularity on MySpace to get more modelling work, and has been on the cover of many famous magazines.

Tila Tequila also has a singing career, with many hit singles.

Tila Tequila has her own show on VH1, an elimination dating show called "A shot of Tequila". This show is similar to "Flavor of Love" starring Flavor Flav from Public Enemy, "I Love New York", starring one of the contestants in Flavor of Love, and "Rock of Love", starring Bret Michaels from Poison, all shown on VH1. Unlike the other shows, Tila Tequila's show has both male and female contestants, because Tila Tequila herself is bisexual. The female contestants are lesbians, and their interaction with the heterosexual men in the show are a large part of what gives the show its popularity.

Tila Tequila has often been described as "slutty" or alternatively as a "MySpace whore" due to her methods of using sexual behaviour and sexual terms to increase her popularity, and using her MySpace popularity to further her career. Nonetheless, she remains very popular.
