Tirana
Tirana is the capital city of Albania. As of 2025, it has a population of around 535,000.
The area has been inhabited since prehistoric times, but Tirana was only founded in 1614, by Sulejman Bargjini. In 1912 Albania gained independence, and Tirana was made the capital.
