Treasure

From Encyc

Treasure is valuable items such as precious metals, gems, and cash. Hoarding treasure is a common pursuit.

Pirates were known for being fond of treasure, and for burying it and then making treasure maps so they could find it later.

The Spanish had treasure galleons they sent from Central America to Spain every year in a huge fleet. Sometimes these would shipwreck, leaving sunken treasure. They were provided treasure in three ways, with silver and gold brought via llama train from Peru, treasure galleons from Manilla in the Philippines to the west coast of Mexico, then overland, and local gold and silver from around the departure point.

Dragons like to hoard treasure too.
