Velcro
Appearance

The term velcro refers to technology used to attach items to one another. Fabric items, when attached by Velcro, have one of pair of strips attached to each item. One strip will have a dense array of plastic hooks, while the other strip will have fabric with loops, like a carpet. When the two strips are pressed together, the hooks latch with the carpet-like loops on the other strip. With enough tension the two strips can be torn apart. The strips can be repeatedly engaged and disengaged.
