Walter Model

Walter Model was a German general during World War II. Known as "Hitler's fireman", he repeatedly led the Wehrmacht out of difficult situations. Ultimately, this only prolonged the war and resulted in more death and misery. He killed himself when the Ruhr pocket collapsed around him.
