Wikipediasucks.co

From Encyc

Wikipediasucks.co is one of 2 English language, self-hosted Wikipedia criticism online bulletin boards. Nearly any criticism of Wikipedia posted is validated by at least someone on the site. Unlike its rival criticism site, Wikipediocracy.com, it considers Wikipedia's community administrators to be incompetent, and almost universally.

The website was and is home to an increasing number of users who are banned from all Wikimedia websites by Wikipedia's San Francisco headquarters.

Notable users

[edit | edit source]
  • Jake Christie, aka Strelnikov a site administrator and journalist globally banned from all Wikimedia websites for taking photos of Wikipedians at a public library Wikimedia event in California over a decade ago. One of two people banned from Wikipedia despite having no Wikipedia or Wikimedia accounts.
  • Eric Barbour, the site's main administrator. Banned from English Wikipedia but not globally banned. Left Wikipedia complaining about the presence of biographical pages for living people and argued against editing outside a single registered account, as well as the removal of at least 8 administrators.[1] He left Wikipediocracy after administrators there complained about his collaboration on the Encyclopedia Dramatica (ED) page about Wikipedia, despite also being a critic of ED. Has written a book about Wikipedia's early shortcomings, but refuses to release it publicly without a reputable book publisher. Also an electrical engineer, and owner of Metasonix, a vacuum-tube based audio equipment company.
  • Bbb23sucks, a Marxist-Leninist who campaigned for the English Wikipedia administrator Bbb23 to be removed of Wikipedia administrator privileges during 2023 and 2024. He was a moderator for wikipediasucks.co until he spammed English Wikipedia heavily, after which he was demoted to member. Bbb23 and his friends used to browse wikipediasucks and ban anyone who posted on it, pretty much reflexively, and without investigation. Bbb23 was also criticized as executing an excess of arbitrary bans on Wikipedia generally, with little regard for the behavior of those banned, and no matter their background or affiliation. Later, Bbb23 was removed as an administrator of Wikipedia on July 6th 2025 for this and other behavior,[2] albeit he had many enemies on other forums, and on Wikipedia itself. Bbb23sucks's campaign against Wikipedia continues, including hosting various over-sighted changes from Wikipedia.
