Wikitia
Wikitia is a for-profit, SEO-oriented wiki site. It was founded in 2019[1] by Avoof, an Indian SEO company based in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India.
The site charges users for new pages (hundred of dollars), updates (dozens or hundred of dollars), and to connect with its "verified editors" ($5 USD).
Content[edit | edit source]
Unfortunately, many of Wikitia's project pages have garbled, ungrammatical English that can be difficult to understand. An excerpt from Wikitia's main page, as of August 2025:
The community at Wikitia is limited to only verified editors with proven expertise and are open to build verified encyclopedia through continued efforts. All articles and pages on Wikitia are protected to provide verified encyclopedic content to control substandard edits by any unverified user, who dont have proven knowledge in a specific industry or field. Unlike any other Wiki platforms, we believe that just negativity or controversial content are certainly not a notability criteria for a page, which has recently garnered lot of attention.
From Wikitia's main page, as of October 29, 2019[2] and July 4, 2022:[3]
Wikitia believes in building a modern and advanced Encyclopedia that allows multimedia content such as videos, interviews of the subject in the mainspace. For us, news video is also as notable as any text news, the reliable news sources does not necessarily needs to be in a textual form.
