Xbox 360

The Xbox360 is a Xenon based games console produced by Microsoft. It has strong support by several third party developers including Electronic Arts.

Earlier models of the Xbox 360 tended to overheat and burn out due to its Passover cooling system (as opposed to direct) and the fact that the DVD-ROM drive was positioned directly over the CPU. The third party cooling systems also caused problems with the Passover cooling design. The overheating problems are the main cause of the Red Rings Of Death. Newer models however no longer suffer this problem due to a different chipset along with an internal redesign being used.
