55 Cancri B b
The discovery of the exoplanet 55 Cancri B b and its sibling 55 Cancri B c were announced in 2025.[1]
Its primary is a red dwarf star, one of a binary star system located 41 lightyears from the Solar system.[2]
Its mass, at 3.5 times that of Planet Earth, puts it in the class of super-Earths.[3] Its orbit takes 6.8 days to complete. It is 0.044 astronomical units from its star.

We report 18 years of Doppler shift measurements of a nearby star, 55 Cancri, that exhibits strong evidence for five orbiting planets. The four previously reported planets are strongly confirmed here.
