Andrew Kolvet

Andrew Kolvet is an American podcast producer.[1] He was one of the founders of Charlie Kirk's Turning Point USA group, and he was the producer of the Charlie Kirk podcast.

following Kirk's assassination Kolvet was quoted in a number of sources, making claims about the killing that many commentators found questionable.[1] He claimed that the "surgeon who tried to save Charlie's life" told him that Kirk saved the lives of other people on his stage because his bones were so dense they contained the bullet within his body. He claimed Kirk's "surgeon" said the coroner found the fatal bullet just under Kirk's skin.

Kolvet claimed, on Twitter, that Kirk's surgeon [sic] called the bullet's failure to emerge from Kirk's body, where it could have injured other people, an "absolute miracle".[1][2] The New York Post quoted Kolvet's Twitter post, where Kolvet claimed to quote Kirk's surgeon [sic]:

”It was an absolute miracle that someone else didn’t get killed. His bone was so healthy and the density was so so impressive that he’s like the man of steel. It should have just gone through and through. It likely would have killed those standing behind him too.
“In the end, the coroner did find the bullet just beneath the skin. Even in death, Charlie managed to save the lives of those around him. Remarkable. Miraculous.”[1][2]

I just spoke with the surgeon who worked on Charlie in the hospital… He said the bullet 'absolutely should have gone through, which is very very normal for a high powered, high velocity round. I’ve seen wounds from this caliber many times and they always just go through everything. This would have taken a moose or two down, an elk, etc.'
