Anglish

Anglish is a variant of English that seeks to use only words of Anglo-Saxon origin. It is as though the Normans had lost at the Battle of Hastings.

Anglish avoids Greek, Latin, Norman French, French, and other foreign loanwords. It seeks to capitalize on the short, powerful Old English vocabulary that Winston Churchill favored in some of his best speeches.
