Baltic Sea

The Baltic Sea is a large saltwater sea in northern Europe, arising from the Atlantic Ocean. It separates Scandinavia from Germany and Poland, and is bounded by Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia in the east. It was named after the Balts, a pagan tribe that lived in the area.
